Charity Work

Heart has expressed many times that she doesn't like "documenting" her charity work. And true to her words, I couldn't find anything online--except for entries on GMA's website, Wiki, and several sources saying she has a foundation named Heart Can, which aims to help the treatment of children with respiratory diseases. There's one cause she's very vocal about though, and that is animal welfare.

Philippines Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) 

Heart has been a dog and cat lover since she was a kid, so caring for these pets are natural to her. Unfortunately in the Philippines, there is a lack of laws that protect the rights of animals, aspins and puspins specifically. Good thing we have PAWS and our dear Heart has been their spokesperson for about five years.

Eight years ago, however, PAWS in partnership with Penshoppe tapped Heart and Echo in launching an awareness campaign called "See Beauty Beyond Breed". See how adorable Heart is and find out what she has to say about the issue in the video below:


BIG Heart PH
At the height of the pandemic when schools were shut down and students and parents alike where having difficulty transitioning their children to online learning, Heart Evangelista launched BIG Heart PH where she sold one of her paintings to send over 550 tablets to students in need.

Then afterwards, she collaborated with Cherry Mobile for a second round of giveaway where over 500 students once again received tablets and free internet for 15 days.

Other Advocacies

Heart Evagelista is a vocal supporter of Balikatang Thalassemia, an organization that helps raise awareness for children with Thalassemia, a rare blood disease, as well as the Cerebral Palsy Association of Sorsogon.
